If you are interested in any of these subjects, then this is the site for you!

Due to a large influx of attempted spammers, I have added a captcha and a spam filter to the site. Sorry for the slight inconvenience, but it seems to work well.

Combining Desktop and Web Applications
There are some new applications out there that allow you to run internet applications from your desktop. Further bridging the gap for some in replacing web apps for traditional large install applications like an office suite. I recently found a well written article on How to Forge for installing Adobe Air on Ubuntu and decided to finally give it a try. I also installed Mozilla Prism and will write my thoughts about it later.
Duck Tales Inflation Lesson
Who knew that cartoon writers are better with economics than our nations leaders?
Greasemonkey
Greasemonkey is a Mozilla Firefox extension that allows users to install scripts that make on-the-fly changes to most HTML-based web pages.
Greasemonkey can be used for adding new functionality to web pages (for example, telling a YouTube user if a video link is for a Rick Roll), fixing rendering bugs, combining data from multiple webpages, and numerous other purposes. Well-written Greasemonkey scripts can integrate changes so well that their additions appear to be natural parts of the web page. (Wikipedia)
Bob Barr Only Presidential Canidate in Texas!
Though Texas election law sets an Aug. 26 deadline for political parties to file their candidates for president and vice-president, John McCain and Barack Obama must work around the law to get on the ballot alongside Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr.
"Agents of the GOP are twisting the law to have Bob Barr thrown off the ballot in Pennsylvania," says Russell Verney, campaign manager for Barr and a former campaign manager for Ross Perot, "while the law has to be twisted for them to get on the ballot in Texas. Rules are rules, except when they inconvenience those who make them."
Aspire One: User Review
This past week I received an Aspire One netbook that I purchased from Newegg.com and now I'm excited to tell you all about it.
Design and Aesthetics
Compared to my old Inspiron 9300 desktop replacement, the Aspire One is minuscule. In the past it was a heavy weight carrying around the Inspiron. Now the Aspire will slip into any bag that I'm taking.
The Aspire has a nice look to it that most on first glance would consider the styling of a much more expensive laptop. Compared to past laptops I've owned, it's dead sexy.
Recent Spam Activity
A little while back I added captchas for new members to stop spamming on this site. I later made the captchas simple for new members. I recently found that to be a mistake. A spammer created a few hundred accounts and left a few hundred comments on articles.
I just went through and deleted it all. If I accidentally deleted an account or comment please contact me and I'll try to fix it. I was just in mass delete mode and might have gotten something extra.
Latest Adobe Flash Update
Today I just got an Adobe flash update from Ubuntu and it seems to be much more stable than previous flash plug ins.
While using the previous flash plug in I was able to get better use by using a fix that was spoken about in another article but it still had times where it didn't work quite right.
After todays update I suddenly had greatly enhanced flash support. I guess I'll cross my fingers and hope the stability for flash will continue.
If anyone has similar or even different experiences with the latest update I would be interested in hearing about it in the forums or a message.
